With a strong emphasis in performing ocean rescues and medical procedures, I have the incredible honor to serve within a team that primarily focuses on public safety. Upon emergency situations, I respond by implementing a plan of action, making critical decisions, and utilizing trained rescue techniques. By actively participating in continuing education classes, I continually improve my abilities in carrying out specialized medical skills i.e. c-spine and limb immobilization procedures. I particularly enjoy accentuating positive behaviors in my community and engaging in educating conversations with the public regarding ocean rip currents, wildlife, and unfamiliar hazards.

I was incredibly grateful to work alongside other top medical professionals in providing emergency services to the San Diego community. I confidentially discussed medical issues with patients, determined the applicable level of care, and provided emergency care services. Upon transporting and monitoring patient vitals, I learned how to efficiently communicate and transfer care of patients with professional hospital personnel. I developed an understanding for the responsibility in continuing my education and the importance of operating within my scope of care. I made a difference in my patients' lives by working with confidence and actively applying the training.
