Responsibility for Quality Assurance and New Product Development responsibility for Yoplait Australia In September 1995 Nestlé acquired the manufacturing facilities at Echuca and following the acquisition my responsibly for a combined QA and NPD department were carried over. I took on the new Nestlé title of Quality Assurance and Application Group Manager. At the time of the acquisition in Sept 1995, the yoghurt factory was half way through capital works for new lines and a doubling of processing capacity up to 70,000 tonnes to year. $30 million had been spent already on what would ultimately become $65 million of capital works eventually completed by Nestlé in late 1998. .

With the latter in mind AGAL chose to employ someone from the local Food Industry.
