Currently studying a Bachelor of Education (Primary) at the University of South Australia (UniSA); I have undertaken placement and work experience at St. Josephs School (Tranmere : Year 2), Millicent North Primary School (Millicent : Year 1/2), Mawson Lakes School (Mawson Lakes : Year 5), plus casual/volunteer work at Grey Ward Childrens Centre (Adelaide) and Burnside Primary School (Burnside). More than 35 years of continuous work in Information Technology, ranging from small manufacturing/warehousing industries to transnational IT companies. Extensive and varied experience in this field. My career has covered usage and support of mini-computers (IBM S/38, HP3000), Desktop/Laptop support (MS-DOS, Windows V3.0 to current, AIX, Linux), File servers (Windows NT to current, HP-UX), Networking (Novell Netware, TCP/IP, Cisco), Systems and Network Monitoring (HP Openview/DTA, IBM Systems Director). My technical roles have included end user support, server/network support (including greenfield site planning), hardware support, client education and writing documentation (ISO9000). My non-technical roles included 6 years of client complaint resolution, which involved strong negotiation and people management skills to resolve customer complaints ranging from individual product issues through to complex business situations.Provided technical support for an event at the Adelaide Fringe (Arts Festival) in 2023.
