About Christopher Gage

I am an EMS Research Fellow with the National Registry of EMTs and a PhD student in Epidemiology at THE Ohio State University. Previously, I served as the Division Chair of Public Services and Program Director of Emergency Medical Services at Davidson-Davie Community College in Thomasville, NC. My career in EMS education includes seven years as an Assistant Professor of EMS and numerous adjunct roles since 2005. I began my EMS journey with Forsyth County EMS as an Advanced Life Support (ALS) provider in 2003 and became a Paramedic in 2005. My experience also includes six years as a Critical Care/Flight Paramedic with Wake Forest Baptist Health AirCare. In addition to my EMS career, I proudly served for four and a half years in the US Marine Corps as an Electrician, achieving the rank of E-5 Sergeant, and dedicated approximately 13 years as a volunteer firefighter.Specialties: Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C), Advanced Cardiac Life Support-Instructor (ACLS-I), Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor (PALS-I), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), International Trauma Life Support Instructor (ITLS) and Coordinator, and Critical Care Paramedic (CCP), Higher Education.
