He also develops, implements and oversees execution of AF and MAJCOM Surgeon’s policies and programs. Chief Gent collaborates and communicates regularly with HAF/MAJCOM peers, Career Field Managers, MAJCOM Functional Managers and Group Superintendents on training, utilization and personnel actions.

Provides strategic leadership and guidance on all Medical Readiness operations, planning, exercising, inspecting, and training for 12 Active Duty units and 61,000 Air National Guard and Air Reserve Component forces.
