A professional engineer with over 12 years’ experience, including 6 years in the Royal Navy and 7years with Ford Motor Company. Experience within a Weapons Engineer role (Royal Navy)developed key skills such as practical and technical knowledge of electrical and mechanicalsystems, qualifications in engineering maintenance covering advanced mathematics, advancedscience and a strong understanding of engineering drawings and principles. I progressed to theposition of Leading Weapons Engineer, responsible for the training and management of up to 30junior engineers. This role built strong communication and problem-solving skills as well as a dutyto uphold the core values of the Royal Navy by maintaining a high level of discipline andcamaraderie. Moving from a military to civilian role, I transferred these skills into my current role atFord Motor Company, focusing more on project management, program costing and the design andfunction aspects of engineering. Later in my time with the company I acted as lead for theintroduction of Virtual Reality 3D environment concepts to the Ford Material Handling department,which resulted in an industry award nomination. This role has broadened my knowledge ofengineering within the manufacturing industry making me a well-rounded and experiencedindividual across multiple areas of project delivery.
