I have recently graduated with my bachelors in mechanical engineering technology student at the University of North Texas seeking a Full time position.I am a well-trained, solution-focused and highly motivated US Navy Submarine Mechanic with 5 years’ experience in many fields. With my team leader and supervisory skills to take charge, I will prove to be an asset for your company. As an auxiliary mechanic aboard a fast attack submarine I was responsible for maintaining the ships extensive hydraulic systems, high pressure air systems, plumbing systems, diesel engine, water pumps and associated systems. Daily tasks include performing technical repairs, establishing work packages, time management, controlled parts assembly, quality inspection, potable water systems, sanitary systems and work on sub safe systems. The work center I worked for was responsible for over 1500 maintenance items annually. I was responsible for training new crew members and maintaining training records. As the Ships Damage Control Petty Officer I maintained my own work center and lead a team of 20 crew members. My work center was responsible for all firefighting and damage control equipment aboard the ship.I performed training for the entire crew of over 150 members on damage control equipment maintaining all records. As the Petty Officer in-charge of the work center I maintained all work documentation and records for of 800 maintenance items.After my 5 years on a submarine I re-enlisted for 3 more years as a Navy Military Training Instructor(NMTI). I routinely conducted inspections of living quarters and uniforms, overseeing watch standing, ensuring general health and wellness, upholding all Navy regulations and standards, holding weekly training, and personifying Navy core values.
