Current role and responsibilities are split between the support and development of a 6 terabyte data warehouse that takes feeds from approximately 20 other applications within the organisation for management Information reporting and invoicing purposes. Accessed by many Business Object users and generating over £3.5 million p.a worth of invoices.Worked on many high profile projects e.g SMART metering a government directive to introduce 30 million smart meters into UK homes by 2020Primary functions included;• Second line support accountable for maintaining the availability of live applications and SLA performance for Incidents, Problems and Service Requests. Part of a small team who sustained an SLA achievement of over 98%• Root cause analysis and defect resolution.• Aligning IT services with the needs of the business as per ITIL best practices and standards.• Produce the technical documentation required during the various stages of software development e.g. technical specifications, functional specifications, test exit reports and release documents.• Write and produce programming code consistent with functional specifications.• Unit test code and support others in link and integration testing.• Manage configuration of software and code for Release and Change management.• Implement changes into production systems.• Conduct investigations during warranty to identify solutions to operational requirements and problems.• Workload management in line with business priorities and timescales.• Production of progress reports against key project milestones
