Responsible for the development of the company database websites. Oversite of the day to day operational endeavors of the Digital Publishing Division. Provided support for the Director of the Digital Publishing Division. There was also a lesser, more informal role as project manager during my tenure as well.

Responsible for planning, execution, and completion of projects. Successful projects would be considered within scope, timeline, and budget. The leading and coordinating of project teams, managing resources, and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction were primary roles.Prior to April 2016, my company did not have a project management department. Through the efforts of myself and my colleague, part of my role was to build this department from the ground up and 'teach' the company what project management was and how project management would play an important role in their lives.

As Managing Director, the position was responsible for the overall performance of the company, and reported directly to the CEO of the East View Companies. In addition to the general responsibilities of a company leader, there were three major endeavors which took place:Warehouse Move – In early 2012, the company moved warehouses and my role was responsible for finding the new facility overseeing the preparations for the move from the old facility, overseeing the physical move, and creating a new floorplan in the new facility which was both operationally functional and served the needs of the other two East View companies.Acquisition of Longitude Books – In late 2012, East View Map Link acquired a company which would complement the existing business well. My role was responsible for the delivery of the new company’s assets from New York City to Minneapolis, assimilating the new company’s workflow into the existing company's workflow, and hiring new staff to provided editorial help (something which was not part of the original company’s operations.)Transition of the print on demand department from East View Geospatial to East View Map Link - In 2015, East View management decided to move the operations of the print on demand business into the East View Map Link facility. As a result, the front end of the warehouse needed to be finished out, an area for the print on demand machines created and the print on demand business needed to be assimilated into the East View Map Link business. My role was in charge of overseeing all the transition areas for this change.

Over the course of the nearly 20 years that I ran my own business, there were three distinct periods which demonstrated three different skill sets. The list below is a brief summary of main responsibilities, but to see a more verbose description of what happened in these 20 years, see the Bio section:1992 through 1995 - Starting Up- Started the business and grew it from 1 person operating from a bedroom in my home.- Responsibilities included literally everything but mainly focused around business strategy.- Wrote an extensive Access database to help keep control of what was a business that was actively growing.1996 through 2001 - Managing Growth and Maturity- Hired and trained the first staff members and eventually grew to a staff of 13.- Oversaw 3 moves (because we kept growing out of our spaces) and in 1999-2000 oversaw the design and construction of a 5,400 sq. ft. office building.- Traveled internationally finding new properties, maintaining relationships with hotel partners and coming up with new areas to go such as car rentals, tours, villa rentals, etc.- Guided the different directors within the company (IT, Marketing, etc.) and kept them all abreast of the overall company strategy.2001 through 2011 - Post September 11- The immediate aftermath after September 11 the primary responsibility was working with hotel and - other partners to make a plan for continuing operation.- Eliminating staff members to cut costs.- Produced new concepts to operate on a leaner budget.- Closed the business and managed the property sale as well as selling business assets.
