The Green Shields Funds are hybrid funds using a front-end hedge fund structure that can transition investments into more traditional private equity structures. The Funds will engage in leverage and swaps to enhance income and returns. The Funds allow for 100% in-kind contributions of acceptable securities and other assets as the basis for subscriptions. The Green Shields Funds blend the individualized attention and responsiveness of a small business with the infrastructure and experience of large U.S. financial institutions, e.g. Northern Trust, US Bancorp and, RBC and UBS. In addition to total returns, the Green Shields Funds anticipate creating highly liquid security pools derived from positive short-term (<2 year) cash flows via amortization of longer-term (>5 year) contracts, structured products and fixed income securities. The goal of the Funds is to accrue these pools at a rate of up to 6% per month during the first two years of receiving and holding baseline assets from its participating fund investors.Reinvested Income - Income from the baseline investments will be directed into the secondary investment strategy more heavily weighted in macro strategies, including global macro and emerging markets. The combination of these bifurcated strategies is predicted to achieve total returns better than market investment performance with well below average market investment exposure.
