The Director of Institutional Research is responsible for collecting, managing, and analyzing large quantities of data to support decision making, to meet internal and external requests, and to meet regulatory, state, federal, and accreditation reporting, and public relations needs. This individual Coordinates the collection, analysis, and interpretation of selected institutional data, and provides systems for the dissemination of information.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.• Creating and maintaining an inventory of institutional data and managing the dissemination of data and information throughout appropriate departments• Responding to information requests from internal campus and external constituencies, including providing data for national and state reporting requirements such as IPEDS, Board of Regents reporting, etc• Developing data sets for use in reporting and analysis using various quantitative and qualitative research methods• Establishing and managing a Key Performance Indicators (KPI) dashboard• Developing SPSS or similar programs to access archival census data files for enrollment, assessment, retention, and other measures• Coordinating production of a College fact book• Ensuring data integrity and maintaining confidentiality and security of information• Author and contribute to annual reports to include Strategic Planning, Institutional Effectiveness, and year end reports• Other duties as assigned
