Current- Manages a portfolio of ~250 NYC public school buildings with responsibility for identifying opportunities to optimize usage of buildings to meet community needs. Optimization levers include opening new schools and/or.
- Builds trusting relationships with families, school communities and neighborhood superintendents through regular touchpoints to gain insight into community needs, enable good faith discussions and keep stakeholders.
- Develops initial proposals for organizational changes based on a combination of community needs and deep analysis of data trends, as well as past successful proposals, and presents to senior DOE leadership for approval.
- Writes legal documents in accordance with NYC DOE regulations for proposals that have gained support amongst families as well as superintendent teams; oversees the process whereby the formal proposal secures legal.
- Conducts eight-to-ten community engagements per proposal to inform stakeholders of impacts on their communities, incorporate community feedback into the proposals, and respond to stakeholder questions and concerns in.
- Manages five-to-ten proposals simultaneously per annual planning cycle; responsible for scheduling all engagements and securing all formal approvals for official proposals within the legally mandated timelines.
