Executes 900 worldwide sorties per day in support of national objectives. Handles the full spectrum of Global Reach at the Department of Defense's largest Air Operations Center (AOC). Controls aircraft maintenance recovery operations on all Air Mobility Command (AMC) and AMC-gained assets flying global mobility missions. Leverages logistics enterprises to move parts, equipment, and maintenance recovery teams (MRT) to fix AMC aircraft. Briefs operations officers and 618th AOC senior leaders on maintenance recovery status and impact to missions.

Oversees maintenance training on two primary Air Mobility Command (AMC) aircraft systems. Manages specialized training requirements for AMC Pacific En route maintenance personnel. Responsible for training 580 maintenance technicians supporting over 7k aircraft missions annually throughout the theater. Oversees development, coordination, and validation of C-5 and C-17 aircraft classes used to train Airplane General (APG) maintenance personnel at 12 AMC En route locations in the Pacific and European theaters. Provides career mentoring and performance assessment of designated maintenance personnel. Supervises, manages, and evaluates duty performance of personnel during on-the-job training. Provides subject matter expertise for complex aircraft problems and personnel training issues.

Provides maintenance support to more than 200 transient C-5, C-17, C-130, KC-10, KC-135, and contract commercial aircraft per month. Launched and recovers aircraft and coordinates flightline operations for all maintenance specialties. Performs operational checks on primary and secondary flight controls, personnel and cargo doors, landing gear, and aircraft engines. Accomplishes servicing and ground handling tasks to include marshalling, towing, jacking, refueling, defueling, and liquid oxygen servicing. Troubleshoots, inspects, removes, installs, and adjusts associated components such as paratroop and crew entry doors, tires, and brakes. Performs aircraft preflight and thru flight inspections. Debriefs aircrews and manages aircraft forms. Authorized to clear grounding disc. Performs maintenance on other aircraft systems unrelated to AFSC including environmental, engines, pneudraulics, and avionics.

Launched and recovered special operations MC-130 aircraft. Performed inspections, ground handling, servicing, and quick turn procedures. Loaded and downloaded munitions used for aircraft defensive countermeasures. Identified and documented maintenance requirements. Ensured accuracy and completeness of aircraft forms. Followed aircraft through all phases of inspections and used technical publications to accomplish complex technical maintenance. Tasked to deploy worldwide in support of National Command Authorities contingency operations.
