Understand how to make things happen without all necessary resources. ●Performed 180 Counter Indirect Fire Patrols for COB Adder. Patrolled through desert terrain and the city of Nasiriyah denying enemy operations. ●Served in the capacity of Assistant Patrol Leader on 90 missions during mounted and dismounted patrols. Performed duties as Truck Commander on 90 more missions. As Assistant Patrol Leader was 2nd in command over 5 gun trucks and 20 soldiers patrolling a 400 sq. kilometer area.●While holding the Squad leader position mentored and counseled 9 soldiers in work performance and day to day life of being a deployed soldier. ●Also conducted perimeter defense missions “guarding the wire” working directly with SOC supervisors, SOC guards and Base Defense Operations Center (BDOC).●Worked with peer to devise weekly operational schedules. Including rotational work schedules for soldiers Vehicle Maintenance schedules Worked closely with training NCO to implement training schedule around operational needs●As COB Adder shut down our role changed to manning guard towers. Was responsible for 5 Guard towers and 10 soldiers over 2.5 kilometers of the perimeter as the Section Leader.●Exited Iraq via tactical convoy the morning of the US military's last day in country.
●Served in the capacity of Squad Leader And Team Leader in the 2125 GSU and 805th MP Company in a home station environment. ●Taught classes on Power Point and in the field aiding in the training of soldiers month to month. ●Acted as range safety NCO.●Mentored and counseled soldiers on their duties and performance.
●Attended pre-mobilization training at Ft. Riley from Jan-Mar. In that time was certified as a Combat Advisor. (The combat advisor mission requires US officers and NCOs to teach, coach and mentor host nation security force counterparts.) Also in pre- mob attended a Combat Life Saver Course and was certified.●Deployed to Baghdad's International Zone (green zone) under Multi National Security Transition Command-Iraq. Involved in over 600 combat missions transporting 16 Generals and their staff around the greater Baghdad area. Served as the Platoon Commanders Gunner and the lead truck gunner. ●While deployed, was entrusted as a PFC to operate and control the company's arms room. With a 5 million dollar inventory tracked repairs and allocations of MK19s, M2s, 240s, 249s, M4s, M9s, Grenades, Smoke, Crew Served Ammunition, Soldier Issued Ammunition, Crew Served Mounts, optics, and all other non issued weapon items. ●While deployed was promoted twice up to the rank of E5/Sgt.
●Graduated from U.S. Army Military Police School at Ft. Leonard Wood Mo. Gained basic knowledge in the five MP functions. Maneuver and mobility support operations (reconnaissance and surveillance) Area security operations (site security and response) Law & order operations (law enforcement and developing host-nation police forces) Internment/resettlement operations (military prisoners and enemy combatants) Police intelligence operations ●Attended 2 weeks of weapons training and drivers training at Ft. McPherson.
