I began my career in health and wellbeing when the new Employee Assistance Programme was initially set up in 1999 by the Royal Mail Group.I am an Accredited Counsellor with the BACP and NCS and currently work for Optima Health as a Clinical Lead, Clinical Supervisor and Workplace Counsellor. I have also worked as a counsellor for the NHS. My specialism is in supporting Bullying and Harassment processes, trauma and also in delivering training. In being a member of the Clinical Leadership team my role covers supporting my colleagues with their daily ethical and professional dilemmas, facilitating monthly Consultative Support; Supporting the introduction of new contracts, policies and processes; Leading on new EAAs Induction programmes and covering for the Helpline Clinical Delivery Manager.

1995 – 99 Royal Mail – Vocational Development Manager• Helped design, roll out and manage an NVQ programme for Cadets aged 16 –19 as part of their induction training as well as assessing all operational grades within Royal Mail and achieved the highest number of successful candidates within the country.• Was Lead role in the Unit Excellence Process and scored highest ever, recorded score for a business unit in the SW/SW Division.• Designed and delivered an ‘Understanding the Business’ workshop to all managerial, administrator and operational grades in the Distribution function of the Bristol Mail Centre.
