Other duties include testing and development of concretes, plant maintenance and Health & Safety matters. In addition I managed audit checks from BSI and N E Lincolnshire Environmental officers. We started mortar production in 2010 - really proud that I started it off for the company. To date (September 2014) we were never been late in delivering and have made no credits for defective mortar, this is down to a great team effort. Hull Technical Sales Manager2003 - 2008 Robin Concrete & Waste Disposal Limited Apr 2003 - May 2008I was responsible for the effective function of both the sales department and all technical aspects of a QSRMC and latterly BSI, approved independent, producing some 55,000 m3 of concrete per annum. My duties included staff training, the development and expansion of the customer base. Technical design and marketing of proprietary concrete mixes and special concretes. I was heavily involved in the research and development of Recycled Aggregates extracted from screened spoil. This was manufactured on site through a bespoke Aggregate Washing facility. This culminated in submitting a comprehensive report and ultimately gaining approval from BSI for the use of recycled aggregates (both fine and coarse recycled aggregates) whilst remaining within the boundaries of BS 8500 and EN 206-1. At the time this achievement was unique by an independent producer. This was achieved through effective control measures and admixture utilisation. I was also tasked with rewriting the Company Quality Manual in line with changes from BS5328 to EN206-1. Left the company due to an opportunity nearer home.
