It is the choir director's responsibility to assist the mission of the church through choral singing. The choir director picks hymns, anthems, coordinates special music and guest performers. The choir director runs the adult choir on the Port Orange Presbyterian Church campus which consists of 30 church members. He also coordinates a professional quartet for early morning services.

Being the director of Hat Trick means that I am responsible for every aspect of the ensemble. Auditioning new members, selecting appropriate music, running rehearsals, planning performances as well as tours, managing finances and designing shirts to name a few.

It was my responsibility as a second year undergrad student to select hymns and anthems for worship. I was also responsible for rehearsing the semi-professional choir of about 50 individuals made up from members of the church and members of Stetson University ensembles in the preparation of the anthem for each week.
