Aser Consulting Engineers Ltd was founded by two experienced Civil Engineers, with the focus on providing high-quality Project Management and Structural Engineering Design Services to the Clients that we serve.Our company was founded on the basis that there is a fundamental requirement for safe, cost-effective, and thoroughly detailed design solutions for structures in Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean at large.

Responsible for the analysis and design of onshore and offshore structural elements including piping supports, platform modifications, and temporary installation aids; producing calculation reports; reviewing design drawings; functioning as team and technical lead on various projects and proposals.DUTIES:• Performing designs and analyses of onshore and offshore structural components in accordance with codes and standards for petrochemical and oil and gas industries.• Functioning as technical lead on various projects and proposals.• Identifying options and recommending solutions to resolve technical issues.• Liaising with CAD designers to produce structural drawings.• Reviewing and approving calculations and drawings done by other team members.• Mentoring junior engineering staff.• Estimating time and resources for various projects and proposals.• Engaging with subcontractors and preparing subcontractor scopes of work.• Preparation of design reports and other documents, including specifications, basis of design reports, design criteria, and scopes of facilities.

In the role of structural engineer, I was involved in the design and analysis of structures in the oil and gas industry. I was part of an engineering team that was responsible for assessing the ability of BPTT’s existing Mahogany and Amherstia offshore platforms to support equipment upgrades, structural modifications, and replacement of accommodation modules. Other responsibilities include the design and analysis of piping supports and equipment skids, performing lift analyses, and preparation of calculation reports. Duties:• Performing designs and analyses of onshore structural components in accordance with codes and standards for petrochemical and oil and gas industries.• Performing structural analyses to assess the structural integrity of existing offshore platforms for various proposed modifications in accordance with codes and standards for fixed offshore platforms.• Preparation of design reports and other documents, including specifications, basis of design reports, and design criteria.• Identifying options and recommending solutions to resolve technical issues.

During my employment at CH2M, I was responsible for the structural design and analysis for several bridges (overpasses and underpasses) on the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway Extension to Point Fortin project. I also designed other structures, including culverts, retaining walls, and gantry signage. Duties:• Preparing calculations and AutoCAD drawings for bridges, buildings, culverts, and retaining walls. • Coordinating with various engineering disciplines. • Performing quality control on deliverables by reviewing and providing comments on detailed design drawings, calculations, and reports. • Identifying options and recommending solutions to resolve technical issues.• Scheduling of deadlines for deliverables.

At CEP I was responsible for the analysis and design of numerous single and multi-story residential and commercial buildings in accordance with international codes and standards. Other structural designs include retaining walls, culverts, and substructure elements. Duties:• Preforming structural analysis on various structures using software tools, including ETABS, SAP2000, and STAAD. • Identifying options and recommending solutions to resolve technical issues.• Performing quality control on deliverables by reviewing and providing comments on detailed design drawings, calculations, and reports. • Preparation of design calculation reports for statutory approvals.• Construction site supervision.• Attending meetings and coordinating with various engineering disciplines. • Performing internal audits in accordance with ISO 9001:2008.
