The company was formed to allow UK investors to share in the profits of property projects in active markets. As one of the founders and MD, Chris has full commercial and responsibility for the company’s strategic direction, business development, investment generation and project delivery. The company has investments in both European countries and Brazil, with over £55m of total development value. The company’s progress has been slowed by the economic recession in the European countries, and is focusing on activity in the very strong and active Brazilian residential housing market.

Chris was invited by the Cabinet Office to leave PwC to be leader of the project team reviewing the risks to the government programme, this was a temporary project assignment. Chris developed the approach and implementation for the Cabinet Office Study into the “The risks facing the main Government Programmes and implementation of Government Policy”. This included the full Government programme and recommended to Central Government Departments and Agencies the approach that they should adopt to risk management in the public sector, the report was published in 2002.

Whilst with PwC Chris worked for, and advised, the boards of public and private sector organisations. Private Sector : As an experienced Director and Consultant Chris led board risk reviews for many high profile clients, these included Diaggeo, Guardian Newspaper Group, Channel 4, Reuters, dot com companies, LASMO, manufacturing companies, and in the public sector the Cabinet Office, the MoD, Universities, Housing Associations, numerous Non Departmental Public Bodies, visitbritain and the Governments Marketing Agency COI (the largest in the UK). Public Sector : Chris was founder and Chairman of the ‘Public Service Risk Management Forum’ which met continually, throughout 2000-2001 and undertokk substantial projects in the Public Service to improve risk management, strategy development and implementation of programmes.

Holding performance responsibility within this £65m business, in these two separate bodies, for all commercial, financial, IT, HR and legal matters for the marketing and management of UK tourism, Chris was a prominent member of each senior management team and a Non Executive Director of two Regional Tourism companies, in the West Country and Yorkshire.

Chris held the position of Senior Consultant in both the Strategic Risk Management and Central Government Management Groups within KPMG. These consulting groups focused on improving management and company development at board level in the private and public sectors. Typically this involved working closely with the Managing Director or Chief Executive of the client company to improve the business performance. Clients included numerous multinationals, Central government Departments and Executive Agencies, including the Civil Service College, MOD Agencies, GCHQ and many NDPB's.

1986-89 Commercial Director, United Tea Traders : This role held profit responsibility for the worldwide tea buying operations for Brooke Bond and Liptons teas, the world’s largest supplier, with operations in Kenya, Malawi, India, Sri Lanka and South America. Annual turnover £20m1984-86 Commercial Manager/ Director, Birds Eye Walls Meals : Responsible a £155m turnover business within Birds Eye Walls, Chris directed the division manufacturing and selling, all meat, burger products and all ready meals from 8 factories across the UK. 1982-84 Group Project Accountant SPD Group Responsible for the major projects within this £3.5bn turnover transport group Chris managed all major projects and strategic planning for the group.
