For 23 years I held a tenured academic position with Southern Cross University (or its predecessor institutions). My initial position being that of an accounting academic, lecturing in the disciplines of accounting and business information systems. My subject responsibilities predominantly being Business Accounting, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, Business Systems, Managerial Accounting and Corporate Reporting. For the last decade at Southern Cross University my lecturing responsibilities at were predominantly replaced by various entrepreneurial and managerial positions. My responsibilities included commercial activities for the School, responsibility for the administration and financial viability of both the Master of Professional Accounting (1996-2007) and all International & Commercial Partnerships (1999-2007) of the school. The commercial programs for which I had responsibility, many of which I had a key role in initiating, included the following international and domestic collaborations:1.
