I started in the Automotive industry after graduating the University of Northwestern Oh. I was an ASE master certified technician. I worked in the repair field for two years. Then I started a Matco tools franchise business. I spent 20 years in the franchise. I was in the top 150 in sales and was elected as a MDAC rep as a representative of the region to help improve company issues in my time there. I sold the business and spent two years managing employees at five different Midas locations improving sales between 20-30 percent when I was there. I left Midas when the opportunity presented it self to become a District sales manager for Cornwell Quality tools I took the worst district in Michigan and in a year took it to a top ten district. Increased sales and doubled the quantity of franchise dealers. It was then split on half and I spent time in Detroit building it up again. In 2017 I was the top District Sales manager for the region. I was fifth in the company. In 2022 my district was in the top ten nation wide with a thirty percent increase over 2021. I have enjoyed changing peoples lives teaching and leading them to become independent franchise business men and women. Most of my guys stay around for long periods. I have a very low rate of dealers exiting the business. As a side note I was raised as a contractors son. I have been remodeling and general contracting new homes and flip houses all my life. At the peak I had 8 houses going in the 2009-2012 time frame. I have gotten out of it but retain a lot of knowledge in the building trades. From materials to working on the job site. I have used large equipment like an excavator to dump trucks. There isn’t much I haven’t done in the trades.
