• Help customers with finding products and answer any questions while providing satisfactory customer service• Keep the store in order during my shifts while putting up new sale signs and other shift-to-shift jobs (stock items, pull items off the shelf, damages, re-shops, etc.)• Work along with fellow co-workers and collaborate on tasks that need to be done during the shift• Open/Close the store depending on the shift. While closing, balance all the registers (Front store/Pharmacy), fill out appropriate paper work needed for cash/check deposits, arm and lock the store before leaving. While opening, unarm and unlock the store, check all the cash registers, balance bills as needed.• Manage and delegate tasks to co-workers during shifts.

Assist in the drinking water lab and bottle prep areas: prepare bottle orders for scheduled drinking water sampling events. Waste disposal of lead in drinking water samples that have been stored.Perform a variety of sample preparation and analysis procedures to quantitatively measure chemical and physical properties in a variety of matrices: air, dust, food, soil, solid, and/or water.Handle common laboratory reagents, such as acids, bases, and organic solvents. Perform all chemical handling safely, following laboratory procedures.Operate and maintain basic analytical equipment and instruments such as pipetting, volumetricmeasurements, and the utilization of analytical balances.Prepare, ship, and receive samples in the air volatiles lab. Diagnose, repair, and calibrate regulators needed for field work. Fill and file the paperwork needed to process each sample received.

Conducted collaborative research under Dr. Sarah Wengryniuk exploring screening conditions to expand the substrate scope of electro-oxidative benzylic difunctionalization of styrenyl olefins containing pendant nucleophiles.Aided my graduate mentor in conducting reactions and working up the results while analyzing the results to confirm the identity of the products.
