Engineering researcher in the area of composite structures. Work involved mechanical testing (including non-contact strain measurement system development) and manufacturing process development for certain applications of composite materials, FEA analysis and design optimization in aerospace applications using ultra-lightweight laminates, and supervision of undergraduate and post-graduate students performing research work within all areas of composite materials. In particular, I spent a significant amount of time studying and attempting to characterize the mechanical behavior of polymeric foam core materials, and developing a design framework for creating aircraft structures using extremely thin and lightweight composite laminates.

Researcher at the centre for ECO2 vehicle design. Research focuses on the development of design methodologies for minimizing the ecological and economical costs of future vehicles while maintaining functional requirements such as structural integrity and passenger comfort. The project is multidisciplinary encompassing such areas of study as finite element analysis (FEA), optimization, vehicle noise vibration and harshness (NVH), composite materials, sandwich structures, poro-elastic acoustic materials, and functional integration.

Performed static and dynamic FE analysis and wrote technical reports for clients within the Swedish aerospace industry.
