Member Service Lead | Sales | Personnel
CurrentAs a Member Service Lead for the front end of the club, I am tasked with the basic operations of all my included departments and the associates within them (these include member service attendants, cashiers, and member specialists.) Basic functions of my departments include running of all our registers, self-checkout lines, and mobile checkout technologies employed by the company, delegating tasks and stations for all my associates (ranging between 60-70 individuals depending on the time of year,) administering disciplinary actions, training, and reward programs for high-performance associates, rendering outstanding member service to all our members, handling all member service complaints / technical issues, processing all our end-of-night transactions, and completing accounting for the previous day in the mornings.I am also responsible, both directly and through my team, for our club's sales. These include, but aren't strictly limited to, our $100 Plus Memberships, our Sam's Club Mastercard we partner with Synchrony Bank to offer our members, etc. (among some other smaller metrics.) I train all new associates in general sales, how to speak with and pitch to our members, and help them to meet everyone's collective and personal daily quotas. In my first year with Sam's Club, I did a lot of hands-on sales personally, along with assisting other associates, leads, and club managers. Our club placed first for that fiscal year in both our plus membership sales and our Sam's Club Mastercard sales amongst the entirety of the company. My personal sales were also among the highest in the entire company, and I was granted a meeting with the Vice President of Sam's Club to congratulate me on my performance. Finally, around 11 months into my time with Sam's Club, I was unofficially given the handling of all personnel affairs on the front end of the club which has since expanded to the majority of the club.
