In April of 2017, I transferred to the SDCCD A,D&T project. I once again took on the role of MEPF coordinator. This was once again an opportunity to learn as the HVAC was a four pipe system and new to me. I was promoted to Area Superintendent in July of 2017 and began to plan and manage the commissioning for the turnover of phase 1 of the project.

In June of 2014, I was promoted to Project Engineer on the Lane Field North hotel project. I managed the MEPF subcontractors from the office side. I learned a great deal about MEPF systems, BIM coordination, management of both BIM and Design coordination meetings. The HVAC for the entirety of guestrooms was split system which was unique for the San Diego market. I performed this role through project completion. From there I moved across the street to begin the Lane Field South hotel project where I took on the role of cost management along with Office Engineer development. I learned a lot in this position about managing budgets, owner pay applications, owner deliverable's, JD Edwards, HP cost management software and building relationships with the team. Show less

In June of 2011, I moved inside as an Office Engineer where I picked up scoped in progress including struct. steel, misc metals, waterproofing, curtainwall, landscaping among others. This was a great learning experience as I had to learn on the fly. Formed some lasting relationships with subcontractors and continued to learn from them. Started with Hensel Phelps in February of 2009. Hired on as a Field Engineer in the precon phase of the New United States Federal Courthouse San Diego. Spent 2.5 years working with two great concrete carpentry crews as we built the Architecturally Exposed concrete elevator core and stairs. Learned a great deal in surveying, control, lift drawing development and people skills.
