This streamlined process increased the velocity of product launches as it included only the critical steps.• Collaborated with the Commercial team to rebuild the new product development funnel from a level of 1% of revenue to the current level of 9.1% of revenue.• Led the engineering aspects of the ERP implementation of Syteline. This involved planning and justifying the required resources, creating the project timeline and setting standards for engineering aspects including units of measure, item descriptions, bill of material multi-level structure and manufacturing routings.• Participated with the Executive Team in the due diligence investigation of a potential acquisition of a competitor. Was responsible for understanding all aspects of their engineering organization including the resources, tools, processes and intellectual property.• Led the engineering activities of a plant closure and consolidation. This included thorough documentation of existing processes, design tools and testing equipment.

Job duties included engineering design and development, which incorporated computer design and modeling along with finite element analysis and component optimization. New products were implemented using a team approach and the Danaher Business System (DBS) methodology, which was modeled after the Toyota Production System.Key Contributions:• Implementation of two new actuators for John Deere for use in their combines. These actuators are used in systems to provide real-time feedback to the farmer on the crop being harvested.• Key member of many Kaizen teams that implemented a Lean Manufacturing ideology throughout the plant.
