•Assist with the effective and efficient management of the “Distribution Network” and the “Local Operational Team”. •Identify and promote Renewal and Improvement schemes and represent the Distribution Teams interests at RCP forums. •Assist in the preparation of work definition reports and generation of schemes to be included on ARM. •Liaison with all other internal and external departments regarding network issues including capacity checks and the design and management of new works/schemes. Key contacts/stakeholders are Network Development, Engineering Technical Solutions and the Infrastructure Team as well as Capital Delivery and other Service Providers such as Clancy Docwra. •Vet, check and give feedback on the designs of Net Dev and AMP 6 schemes undertaken by Clancy Docwra and ETS. Undertake walk throughs and the sign offs at the end of all new schemes and the vetting and checking of as laid plans. Review the detail behind any none standard connections. •Work closely with the Network Development Insepctor to ensure new developments and new connections are undertaken in accordance with Southern Water standards•Assist in the preparation of “Contiplans” for strategic mains and critical links across the network. •Assist with the planning of shut downs on strategic mains etc and liaison with the Network Modelling Team and other parties as required.•Preparation and checking of SCO documentation and method statements involving work in the distribution network. •Assisting and commenting on the preparation of wash ups following 6 hr plus ITS and those involving more than 100,000 property minutes. •Provision of cover for your Team Manager, the Local District Manager and Technical Co-ordinators. •Easement management - policing of works in the vicinity or trunk mains etc. •Ensure that Guaranteed Standards pertaining to DG 2 and 3 and Mains Activities are achieved and maintained and that the procedures in place are strictly adhered to at all times.
