Lead the management and execution of construction projects within the live airport environment, including retail, car parking and property related projects across the campus both airside and landside. Projects are often time sensitive and involve working with a range of stakeholders and third parties to define the project requirements and respond to the needs of the stakeholders.Working within the Gatwick construction team delivering safe, fast paced and cost efficient projects through a lean project delivery process.Project values typically range from £200k - £3m but can be up to a value of £10m with an annual programme of c.£50m to £60m per annum. This programme of works is delivered through a team of project professionals managed by the Senior Project Manager.

Principal accountabilities- Responsible for all aspects of Construction Delivery from the Programme Managers Brief- Allocate tasks and responsibility to project team members. Ensure the team have adequate and appropriate training.- Leads pre-construction and schedule management activities, supported by the project team.- Leads the project from funding approval to handover and close out- Focal point for all communications relating to the project - Responsible for the schedule of works. Monitoring progress and reporting- Interfacing with the Design Team to resolve design issues- Provide reports to Programme Core Team on the impact of change (programme and cost)-.Ensure correct processes are used by the project team to record progress- Lead buildability reviews with the design team.- Communicate objectives to the package managers- Ensure Health and Safety standards are achieved across the project.- In conjunction with the Programme Manager and EHS Team, assemble and promote the project’sSafety Leadership team.- Encourage innovation to the benefit of the project.- Advise the commercial team of any potential early warnings which may impact the cost plan.- Set targets to improve productivity and efficiency across the project including KPIs for H&S,sustainability, defects, etc.- Responsible for providing the monthly project reports- Motivate and manage staff and ensure correct level of inter project communication is prevalent.- Promote continuous improvements within the project team- Manage all project close out activities
