With over 14 years of experience in higher education, I have worked across the university, not-for-profit, and social enterprise sectors.In my current role at Teach Well, I work with school leaders, teachers and systems to embed high-impact instruction in WA and nationally. I also lead our organisation's Instructional Lead Fellowship and various projects to support student literacy in WA's regional and remote schools. A rewarding aspect of my role with Teach Well has been to collaborate with educators to work towards greater equity across the national education landscape. Prior to joining Teach Well, I was Executive Officer of the UWA Public Policy Institute, leading its projects and operations. I specialised in translating complex research to inform evidence-based public policy in Western Australia and worked with senior leaders in government, universities, not-for-profits, and communities to disseminate research on critical policy challenges facing Australia and the Indian Ocean Region.I am also active in the Perth arts community. I have chaired public events for the UWA Public Policy Institute, the ASEAN-Australian Strategic Youth Partnership, Centre for Stories, PEN Perth, and the Perth Festival on the arts, public policy, and social justice. I am an ardent believer in the power of storytelling and the arts to connect people and to promote diversity in the cultural identities we foster.
