Outpatient mental health clinic embedded within the 1st Marine Division 5th Regiment. Clinic was comprised of a psychiatrist, psychologist, and behavioral health technician, Served as the primary mental health asset for 4 infantry battalions and 1 combat engineer battalion, a total of 5,000 active duty Marines and Sailors. Duties including initial patient psychosocial evaluations, maintaining and scheduling of 5,400 yearly clinical hours of patient care, acute patient evaluations and safety plans. Secondly, served as the sole psychiatric resource during extended field operations with Battalions and Regiment. I will be leaving this assignment and transferring to the civilian sector in August of 2020

Alexandria, Va

28 day inpatient addictions unit comprised of 20 beds, focused on severe clinical cases which could not otherwise be treated in a outpatient setting. Duties included initial patient evaluation, inventories of patients personal belongings, communicating and staffing medical and patient concerns with the treatment team, and facilitating patient movement on and off the floor for patient activities. Served as the shift supervisor from November 2013 until deploying in December 2016. Selected as the Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge from October 2016 to June 2017. Oversaw day-to-day operations of the unit while supervising nursing and technician staff.

Guantanamo Bay, Cuba

Joint medical group behavior health unit tasked with providing mental health support and treatment for detainees under the supervision of the United States Government and Joint Detention Group. Duties included acute crisis intervention, follow up appointments, staffing concerns and request to the mental health and medical providers, and facilitating medication intervention. Also Served as a training advisor to prepare new staff members for the challenging work environment of a detention facility.
