My career began on the production floor as a process engineer in the steel industry and my interest in those areas led me to pursue advanced degrees in management and industrial engineering. I have over 20 years of industrial and academic experience working in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment responsible for developing, planning and assessing curriculum and programs which includes business disciplines of operations management, marketing, human resources, management, finance, and accounting. As an academic department chair, my responsibilities included administrative duties such as scheduling, faculty development, curriculum development, recruitment of faculty and staff and overseeing department activities to ensure New York State and external accreditation requirements. My personal areas of professional and academic expertise include operations management, quality management, applied business statistical analysis and quantitative methods to improve business processes and decision-making.
