- Supervise the Mastering Department.- Creation of DCP (Digital Cinema Packages) and IMF (Interoperable Master Format) packages and related file types for D-Cinema delivery and OTT Providers.- Workflow development for film and digital-based productions, spanning preproduction, dailies, offline editorial, conform, and color.- Analyze projects and consult with clients to minimize cost and maximize efficiencies in the finishing process.- Research and review new acquisition and delivery formats for integration into facility pipelines.- Conduct training on new systems and workflows for clients, staff, engineers and operators. - Create documentation, and assist in drafting and implementing procedures. - Engineering support and escalation path for Avid and Final Cut Pro online Editorial systems.- Expertise in a wide range of post-production software and hardware systems.

- Ingest SD/HD dailies tapes on Final Cut Pro or Avid for editorial departments and/or additional transcoding.- Output SD/HD tapes according to client specifications using edit systems such as Final Cut Pro, Avid, Clipster.- Operate SD/HD VTRs for playback and record from edit systems, including setup and striping of tapes. Formats include Digital Betacam, D5, HDCAM, HDCAM-SR.- Generate encoding profiles and operate hardware and software encoders for the creation of digital video files (MPEG1,MPEG2,MPEG4, Windows Media, Quicktime, WAVE).- Transfer files to/from clients via FTP, Aspera faspex, MCDS, PIX, Sample Digital D3, Digital Delivery and other dailies viewing systems or network protocols. - Create, author and burn DVD video discs with menus and chapters using DVD Studio Pro.- Estimate job turnaround times and equipment usage and quote prices as necessary.- List management for tape to tape color correction and film selects transfers.- Setup and maintain computers in a mixed PC/Mac environment and install software as needed.
