About Christopher Mackay

My main interests lie at the intersection of natural resources and public policy. I recently earned a M.S. in Resource Conservation at The University of Montana.I have worked for many seasons as a Trail Crew Assistant Leader and Wilderness Ranger. I gained a wide array of experience in these positions. During my time with the Forest Service, I also worked as a Resource Advisor (REAF) on three type 1 incidents and numerous Wilderness fires.Prior to the Forest Service, I was an AmeriCorps Volunteer with a nonprofit organization that empowers youth through work, education, and stewardship.Being the editor at PwC Ukraine in Kyiv provided me with a new range of experience. I worked in the Tax and Legal department, which taught me a lot about international business. In my position I taught conversational English lessons that incorporated topics of interest to the business world. As a Peace Corps Volunteer, I was able to experience Ukraine as a teacher, project developer/leader, trail maintenance worker and crew leader, camp director, farmer, and even an entertainer. My strengths include communication, education, leadership, analysis, project development, attention to detail, commitment to safety, and problem solving. Specialties: administration, mediation, analysis, writing, editing, fundraising, leadership, persistence/endurance, problem solving, teaching

Listed skills include Editing, Grant Writing, Leadership, Fundraising, and 15 others.
