For over a decade I have had the privilege of serving in the United States Navy on Active Duty and now currently as a Reservist. While serving in the Navy, I have had the pleasure of being a part of and leading many diverse cross-functional teams. With motivation and control of my career, I had moved up the chain from a simple maintenance technician to managing complex projects involving personnel, assets, logistics, and strategic planning. With a thirst for knowledge, I took advantage of the given opportunities and expanded my knowledge base past maintaining aviation support equipment.I never thought that acquiring additional responsibilities would hold value and become my strong points, but they have. I am happy and thankful for these additional roles as they expanded my skillset. While expanding my horizon in the Navy, I have learned the fundamentals of logistics management, contingency planning, compliance, and workforce training as well as many other practical organizational skills.Moving past what my job roles held, I had a passion for business operations and management. I made this dream a reality. I recently graduated with a Master of Business Administration and an MA in Procurement & Acquisition Management. My new formal education reinforced many concepts that I had already learned while on the job but also taught me many new concepts contributing to a corporate environment. My thirst for knowledge and new skills continue! I am actively searching for new roles on a new team that will enhance and advance my logistics career while bringing value to the organization.
