Application Of Bots, Servers, And Proxies

San Jose, Ca, Us

In order to improve the chances of purchasing big-ticket items and smaller items in bulk, I used applications called bots to automate the process of purchasing these items. I would also purchase and rent servers to increase speed and connection to some of these website's servers. I would then install the application on the server and run hundreds of tasks. Each task was a specific command for checking out an item and each task would use a designated proxy. I would spend a few hours of setting up my server, bot, and proxies before the designated release time for a popular item and then I would run the applications. I would use discord to communicate with the developers of these applications and helped test a few applications as well as provide feedback on GUI updates.

Deloitte Consulting National Undergraduate Case Competition

Worldwide, Oo

This program was a fast-paced innovation challenge for consultants where we need to develop business ideas into conceptual product/service prototypes. We work with consulting experts to present a pitch to senior leadership and innovation experts. Our objective was to pitch a new innovative idea to improve the campus. As Vice President of Blockchain Society, a select few members came together to compete in the competition. Our goal was to create a centralized electronic document verification process using blockchain. This process would be used for transcripts, diplomas, and certificates. One of the main problems regarding transcripts, diplomas, and certificates is the inefficient use of time and the inability to verify the legitimacy of electronic documents. Companies request official documentation of transcripts to ensure legitimacy. Currently, the process of requesting a transcript requires 6-8 days of processing and 6-14 days for shipping. It is 8 dollars per request per transcript, 30 dollars for domestic shipping and 40 dollars for international shipping. At best, students and alumni are looking at 2 weeks to receive the transcript and an average cost of 35 dollars. If they need to expedite it, the prices are upwards of 50 dollars. If we implemented a blockchain solution, we could cut the amount of labor required to process these requests, cut the cost of shipping and have the documents be processed within hours. The school could charge more for the transcript and the buyer would end up paying less. M.I.T did a similar project where they have produced an open source code for everyone to use. Our solution would involve using the code to eliminate the waste of time when requesting these documents and to verify the legitimacy of these documents. I'm proud to say our team placed 2nd in the competition!
