Having graduated in 2003 with a 2:1 (Hons) in computer science I joined the Army and trained as a Surveyor (level 5 HND) and spent the next 9 years deploying on operational tours to Iraq and Afghanistan as well as in infrastructure roles supporting a number of strategic and long term missions. It was during this time that I completed my Prince2 qualification.On leaving the military I started as a Project manager for ATOS, working for clients across government. Following this I worked for Bridgeway Consulting as a surveyor focusing on railway infrastructure.In 2017 I returned to work for the MOD, in a sub-department of Strategic command, working with data and international sources, beginning my MSc in Geospatial Information systems, which I completed with Merit while working full time, becoming parent and through lockdown.Once the COVID epidemic began I was seconded to the Department of Health and Social Care to help with the COVID response. I joined permanently as part of the newly formed United Kingdom Health Security Agency.
