During the summer of 2024, I had an internship at the Hong Kong based retail company, "The Lion Rock Press". The company is a creator, vendor and distributor of greeting cards and tourist souvenirs with worldwide buyers and clients including JP Morgan, TED, Madame Tussauds, and Toys'R'Us.During this internship I was given many responsibilities spanning multiple areas of retail, both back end and front of house. These ranged from back end management of the website (including managing tags and filters, keeping track of and updating stock, editing website UI etc.), data analysis, making in person deliveries, taking sole management of the storeroom on weekends, pitching an advertisement campaign, interacting with and helping in-house customers, and designing multiple pieces of branded merchandise to be sold.

During university, I took part in a module that required me to get involved with a client in order to manage an up-coming advertisement campaign. I was presented with many potential clients, one of which was Brighton & Hove City Council who were looking for a campaign to show the diversity of the city revealed in a recent census. I pitched my idea to them an out of over 30 candidates, they chose me to work on the campaign.The campaign was a one man project with me writing, directing, storyboarding, animating and editing it all by myself, thus honing my skills in all of these areas. The process also showed me how to effectively convey ideas, manage time and communicate with clients.
