As a quality control mechanical engineer, the role involves checking the maintenance and services completed on bikes by technicians, to ensure it is fit for purpose; using my skills and experience to either Pass or Fail bicycles as well as giving feedback and training to technicians to ensure errors are rectified. Responsibilities:Communicating with other departments such as the control room to ensure bicycles are serviced at the correct date and time.Ensuring bike availability is not effected within the scheme.Physically checking every part of the bicycle before redeployment to ensure any damages or issues are fixed and changed in order to prevent accidents during use of the cycle.Understanding electronic systems such as CLICK and DBOS to identify the events of bicycles within the scheme to try and have an understanding of its journey.Ensuring KPI’s for quality control check bikes are achieved consistently through working productively within the time frame given.Liaising with our clients TFL and the senior management team to ensure any bicycles needed for events held are thoroughly examined and maintenance checked before distribution.

ResponsibilitiesMaking sure daily reports are complete within the time frame and emailed across to the relevant client. (TFL).Creating a roster to ensure productivity across the scheme during peak times in order to service stations correctly.Providing staff with the correct training tools, PPE, and health & safety guidance in order to prevent/ minimise the chance of any risks that may arise.• Ensuring vehicle checks are complete; fixing or reporting any damage and ensuring the correct policy and procedures are followedCompleting personal development plans with members of my team, to ensure skills and potential to develop are maximised; allowing possible progression within the company to become ambassadors and role models for further new employees.Dealing with staffing issues such as interviewing potential staff, conducting appraisals and performance reviews, as well as providing or organising training and development.Conducting a daily brief at the start of each shift, making sure important announcements are brought out across the team, to ensure efficiency in communication between all teams in all departments.Attending daily meetings with manager’s to have an understanding of improvements that need to be made and implementing any changes I believe need to be done in order for the scheme to grow and expand.Accomplishing KPIs such as terminal and station maintenance and productivity of redistribution drivers servicing stations are achieved through efficient motivation for consistent performance from my team.
