Mechanical Engineer
CurrentAs a quality control mechanical engineer, the role involves checking the maintenance and services completed on bikes by technicians, to ensure it is fit for purpose; using my skills and experience to either Pass or Fail bicycles as well as giving feedback and training to technicians to ensure errors are rectified. Responsibilities:Communicating with other departments such as the control room to ensure bicycles are serviced at the correct date and time.Ensuring bike availability is not effected within the scheme.Physically checking every part of the bicycle before redeployment to ensure any damages or issues are fixed and changed in order to prevent accidents during use of the cycle.Understanding electronic systems such as CLICK and DBOS to identify the events of bicycles within the scheme to try and have an understanding of its journey.Ensuring KPI’s for quality control check bikes are achieved consistently through working productively within the time frame given.Liaising with our clients TFL and the senior management team to ensure any bicycles needed for events held are thoroughly examined and maintenance checked before distribution.
