Having gained over 16 years of professional experience in stakeholder engagement, communications and public relations, I have developed a deep understanding of the complexities and requirements for managing effective engagement and communications on major infrastructure projects, regeneration schemes and more localised developments. I am currently working on a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project and have been involved with the writing of key consultation documents used during the project's statutory consultation, as well as the creation of various communication tools, such as videos. Another key part of my role has been the analysis of stakeholder responses and identifying key concerns and issues that need to be fed back and responded to by the various technical teams involved on the project. I am also managing the global communications of the Wood Pride Network, helping to organise events and raise awareness of the group both internally and externally, and have been a committee member since joining the company in March 2019. Whilst working on the Lower Thames Crossing project, I was managed the strategic engagement and communication with all of the local authorities (LA) affected by the scheme. This involved the development of an engagement strategy to ensure that a proactive approach to engagement and communication was achieved and that information was shared, and discussions were had with the LA stakeholders throughout the project’s development as it moved towards its Development Consent Order application. When working on HS2, I was part of the London Metropolitan community and stakeholder team and was responsible for the management of the engagement with stakeholder groups affected by the project’s proposals in the Camden Town and Primrose Hill area of North London, including Councillors, MPs, local authorities, businesses, community groups and local residents. Working closely with the wider project team, I developed key communications resources and I was involved throughout the project in the preparation of the deposit of the Hybrid Bill to Parliament. My local government stakeholder engagement roles have included managing community consultations and events as well as fundraising, marketing, communications planning and implementation.
