As the KKCM's Chief Development Officer (CDO), I lead a comprehensive development program, including establishing fundraising goals and strategies, executing all development efforts, and building a fundraising team focused on individual giving, corporate/foundation/grant, events, and future endowment. The CDO fosters a culture of philanthropy within the organization and leads the development department and volunteers to ensure fundraising and fund development are carried out in keeping with KKCM's mission, vision, core values, and plans. My role maintains accountability and compliance standards for donors and funding sources and will keep informed of developments in philanthropy and general not-for-profit management. Establishes performance measures and monitors results and will assist in evaluating the effectiveness of KKCM's fund development program.Previous Role: As an LSU Foundation Director of Development, I am responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewardship donors. I manage a portfolio of prospects and donors by developing and building relationships by developing engagement plans that match donor interests to university fundraising priorities while adapting and modifying plans as circumstances change.
