My Role at EDSCO includes (but is not limited to); - Installing and upgrading the database server and application tools. - Allocating system storage and planning storage requirements for the database system. - Modifying the database structure, as necessary, from information given by application developers. - Enrolling users and maintaining system security. - Ensuring compliance with database vendor license agreement(s) - Controlling and monitoring user access to the database - Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database - Planning for backup, and recovery of database information - Maintaining archived data - Backing up and restoring databases - Contacting database vendors/ systems engineer(s) for technical support - Generating various reports by querying from database as needed - Managing and monitoring data replication - Acting as a liaison and support for usersI complete this within Microsoft's SQL Server Management Studio 2008R2 & 2014. Specifically, I administrate three transactional-databases and two mailing databases.I have also gained valuable analytics experience using SAP Crystal Reports; utilized for creating a diverse range of reports, and forms; usable (and valuable) to my colleagues, superiors, and company as a whole.My role also includes 'General IT management' of the Software and Hardware within the premises. In my time in this roll, my position involved the distribution and management of stock and equipment throughout the Mater Hospital. I value the experience I gained here for teaching me about corporate business, policies and practice, as well as how to work and interact with a diverse range of rolls including, but not limited to; Brand Representatives, Procurement Officers, Directors & Executives, and Healthcare Professionals. I also walked, on average, 15km a day at this job, so you know I'm up to any challenge!

I was initially employed at a Tutor in High school Mathematics and Physics but branched out into Chemistry and Biology tutoring as well. Towards the end of my time at Master Tuition I was chosen, and employed as Manager whilst maintaining most of my classes. My managerial roll included running, and organising the business - including all administrative, marketing and reception duties. I value this experience particularly for teaching me a lot about what it takes to run a successful small business, and the sheer dedication that is required to make it happen.
