This qualification has taught me how to increase personal resilience, spot the early signs of mental health problems such as depression, self harm, anxiety and PTSD amongst others, and provide help on a mental health first aid basis. It helps build the confidence and skills to guide someone towards the appropriate support, helping to stop the problem from getting worse and encouraging earlier recovery.

As a quailfied E and D adviser it is my responsibility to ensure that my commanding officer is kept up to speed with all the changes to E and D policies, act as an impartial adviser to all personnel with any E and D issues, create a well oiled E and D network within my unit in accordance with the Equality act 2010

My current job consists of ensuring all of the people under my command are trained in the correct manor, placed on career courses to enable them to promote through the ranks to meet career timelines and producing weekly training programs to comply with the Regimental battle rhythm.I also ensure that all compulsory annual training is conducted to the correct standard within the timelines placed upon me.

I have over 1100 hours of UAS flying experience, have worked on numerous UAS such as Phoenix,Hermes 450 and Desert Hawk 3.Approximately 900 of these flying hours are flown in operation conditions in such places as Kosovo,Iraq and Afghanistan.Job roles have included ground crew, UAS pilot, Mission commander and Image analyst.

Whilst working on UAS systems i gained a qualification from the United Kingdom Image Analysis Course. This enabled me to gather imagery, assess and interpret it and provide potentially vital assessments to the relevant situation as it evolved.
