This was my own e-commerce business selling online clothing and accessories. My daily duties included handling customer sales and responding to orders and queries in a quick and effective manner, driving sales through promotion and events organisation and increasing footfall mainly through utilizing social media platforms. Being my own business I was solely responsible for all the administration duties. These included, accounting, book keeping and budgeting, petty cash reconciliation, cash handling and banking (including foreign currencies). I was also responsible for photography, merchandising and outfit building of the items on sale before they were uploaded for sale on my website. I had to incorporate aspects of trend forecasting of both clothing trends and interior design trends into my business to maximize sales and to meet my clients demands. I was based originally in London before moving to Berlin.

My duties included the overseeing day to day running of the store with the aid of my Assistant Manager, Supervisor and twelve members of staff delegating tasks to ensure the store ran smoothly and effectively.I led by example by delivering the highest standard of leadership skills and customer service skills as well as driving sales and achieving targets..I was responsible for all managerial commitments to comply with company policies and procedures on stock control, merchandising and store layout, staffing, sales, and deliveries and returns. I used my retail knowledge and commercial skills to improve store performance, motivating, training and developing the staff through in store incentives, workshops and individual performance assessments with members of staff. I had to handle many in store HR issues such as staffing and rotas, complaints, holidays and absences, staff timekeeping and issuing wages using the company's Timeforce system. Another important aspect of my duties was the communication of the stores sales figures in weekly sales meetings, developing methods of improvement and trouble shooting any problems or areas for concern. I managed to improve my office administration skills while working here through dealing with store budgets, sales analysis, petty cash reconciliation, handling delivery manifests, filing and banking while still maintaining high standards in all shop floor areas, implementing new ideas to challenge issues of stock loss or more efficient shop floor replenishment.

As manager I was in charge of a small team of staff and a handful of volunteer workers, delegating daily tasks and leading by example by driving sales and maintaining a high level of customer service. I created staff training workshops to improve staff performance and product knowledge, organised events such as in store evenings and fashion shows to promote the charity and generate both cash and stock donations.I was in charge of all financials and administration aspects such as cash handling and banking, rotas, staffing issues such as appraisals, absences and holidays.
