Assist attorneys in drafting responses to US office actions. Responsible for corporate compliance and maintaining patent docket.

Work with the GPO attorneys and IP paraprofessionals to prepare amendments for applications filed globally. Other responsibilities include drafting responses to office actions from foreign patent offices, researching areas of IP law, and managing the IP website.

Worked in the chemical group at this specialized intellectual property law firm. Completed assingments include a biotechnology memo, non-compete agreement, letter of intent, presentation about strategies for foreign patent filing, claim charts, response to examiner rejections and patentability search reports. Firm practice extends to all areas of intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, unfair competition, trade secrets, licensing, and litigation.

Within Intellectual Property Management, there are four organizations: Business Development and Licensing, Policy and Compliance (Enforcement), Patent Portfolio Management, and Strategy and Protection. I worked closely with all four groups and the legal department to protect Boeing's IP rights in areas of copyright, trademark, proprietary documents (trade secrets) and patent.

Published author in LCGC North American Journal (October 2007), Method Development and Validation of an UHPLC Method for Paroxetine Hydrochloride. Comprehensive training and experience with liquid chromatography instrumentation and software (HPLC, UPLC, mass spectrometer, sample preparation and solid phase extraction devices). Received two extraordinary effort awards. Left to pursue Masters of Science degree.
