As early as I can recall, I was fascinated by how the world works. I can still remember as a child searching through rock piles looking for fossils (and of course I still do this today!). I was also active outdoors and involved in sports. This ultimately led to my career choice as a science educator and coach. Of course, things have slightly changed along the way over the last 18 years. I have earned 3 master's degrees (with some doctoral work), taken a position as an adjunct faculty member at our local community college, and traded in the softball bats for lacrosse sticks. Currently, I am a part of our school district's blended learning cohort helping pave the way for my colleagues that are interested in refining their pedagogy and curriculum.
