Managing the Group Training business nationally for Collar Group, my role as Group General Manager is to build and maintain the operational structure and compliance of the division, drive growth while mentoring and supporting the team to achieve our organisational goal - to become Australia's leading provider of apprenticeship and traineeship recruitment services.

Responsible for developing, managing and scaling Collar Groups Apprenticeship division. Collars Apprenticeship team adds a new dimension to our mission of becoming Australia's leading provider of recruitment services, while creating a bright future for our apprentices, clients and industry partners.

Responsible for driving growth in the Apprenticeship, Labour Hire and Recruitment space while cross-selling Accredited Training, Job ready Services and High Risk Training Services into the Building, Industrial and Commercial Construction, Civil Construction, Mining and Oil & Gas Industries. My role was to coordinate the many capabilities of the Skill Hire Brand, along with its subsidiary Nara Training and Assessing, to drive it toward the Company Mission of becoming Australia’s leading provider of education, training and employment solutions.

My role was to establish new business and develop existing accounts for the national market leading Apprenticeship Support Network. Through setting up Business Development meetings and developing relationships with Employers, Registered Training Organisations, Job Search Agencies, VET Coordinators and Group Training Organisations, I was responsible for informing Key Decision Makers about the benefits of taking on Apprentices and Trainees while staying up to date with the latest series of alterations to an ever-changing Federal and State Incentive system. Following business development I proceeded to sign up the Apprentice or Trainee selected and completed the precise Administration duties that follow.

My role was to establish new business and develop existing accounts for a recently established branch of a Boutique Recruitment Agency specialising in the Technical Sales Industry. Working in an internal phone sales environment, I was responsible for developing and managing over 800 national accounts, building a working relationship with multiple Key Decision Makers within each business, ranging from Regional Manager and HR Managers through to CEO’s, Managing Directors and National Sales Managers of both small and large corporate organisations alike. With Pre-Qualified Candidates having undergone a series of Interviews and various screening processes, I sought out vacancies within a companies sales or managerial force, won sign off to match candidates to the role, specified the clients requirements, negotiated Terms of Business and further assisted with the process until the candidate filled the vacancy.

Working primarily within the B2C Market, though also working with Businesses as a while, I was responsible for autonomously cold calling and converting warm leads primarily within the construction trade industry. Selling a variety of income protection and life insurance policies, I developed and managed a client base of individuals through calling or meeting face to face, setting up appointments, finding a need for the client and selling the business and product to sell the best intangible product for their requirements. Most of my role was to proactively develop New Business, though a portion of my time was spent Managing my Account Base through Up-selling and Cross-Selling alternate products.
