I am grateful for the opportunity extended to me by the Board Chair Curtis Hartman, other members of the Board of Directors and Executive Director Cherie Mittenthal when extended the offer of employment as Associate Director. Three specifics for the gratitude: (A) Opportunity to work with Cherie and fellow peers on the first Encaustic Conference that Cherie Co-Hosted with Founder JoAnne Mattera. The conference brought attendees to the Outer Cape in June which assisted local small businesses substantially. A personal benefit was an interest in encaustics and taking an encaustics painting class myself. Second, I appreciated the Co Board Presidents role that was resumed.
