I am a teaching-track faculty member at Princeton University. My primary role is lead preceptor, which entails teaching "precepts" (equivalent to recitations or small-group sections at other schools), course administration, graduate teacher mentoring, curricular development, and software engineering of courses' grading infrastructure. In some semesters I have instead served as the instructor of record, teaching the large lecture sections of the course rather than the precepts, with the same additional responsibilities.I have experience teaching COS217 -- "Introduction to Programming Systems", our CS-2 that focuses on software engineering in preparation for later systems departmental courses; COS 126 -- "Computer Science: An Interdisciplinary Approach", our CS-1; COS 326 -- "Functional Programming"; and COS 333 -- "Advanced Programming Techniques", our software engineering survey course of languages and technologies based around a large design project.Outside of the classroom, I also advise undergraduate research, which is a key component of the Princeton curriculum. I have advised over 40 junior and senior independent work projects during my time at Princeton, including research on distributed systems, sports analytics, and voice recognition, and engineering projects resulting in significant software artifacts.I serve as placement officer for the department, interviewing and evaluating students to discern their proper course placement and sequence.
