I’m accountable for: (1) understanding the key business drivers of our CAPEX market (Gulf of Mexico, Eastern Canada, Mexico) and how those key business drivers translate to technology needs; (2) leading innovation management to address those technology needs – both current technology needs and projected future technology needs; and (3) overseeing regional product line management for our CAPEX market, including our SurFlo℠ offerings for deepwater and ultra-deepwater assets.

As the District Manager and Director of Technology for Eastern Canada, was responsible for the team overseeing the supply of production chemicals and associated services for the ExxonMobil operated Hebron platform located 350 kilometers offshore southeast of St. John's, Newfoundland. Nalco Champion secured the ExxonMobil Hebron contract in June 2016. First oil was achieved on November 27th, 2017 and the Hebron platform will produce up to 150,000 barrels of crude oil per day but can ultimately sustain 180,000 barrels of crude oil per day per the C-NLOPB Hebron development plan.Our production chemicals and associated services to ExxonMobil Hebron ensure asset integrity, flow assurance, and oil/water separation to meet regulatory and fiscal requirements. This was made possible with an experienced and highly skilled team including a Technical Account Manager, Offshore Lab Technicians, local warehousing and supply chain staff, and a start up support team that I had the privilege to lead.

- Responsible for Global Technology Operations (GTO) within Nalco Champion RD&E;- GTO owns the process and gatekeeping for approximately 3,000 high level technical support requests per year for the $3B+ Nalco Champion business;- GTO ensures metrics are in place to properly balance RD&E time allocation on (a) innovation projects; (b) technical/sales support; and (c) manufacturing support;- Responsible for leading Nalco Champion RD&E efforts to reduce internal costs and create "fit for purpose" customer-centric solutions during the current industry downturn.

- Responsible for developing and overseeing technology portfolio in support of $220MM Upstream Production Maximization business;- Product line of demulsifiers, reverse emulsion breakers, water clarifiers, defoamers, calcium naphthenate dispersants and viscosity reducers;- Responsible for direct supervision of 15 Researchers (8 with Ph.D.’s) with average industrial experience of 8 years;- Managed research projects subjected to stage and gate reviews that led to new product deployments in Heavy Oil ($300 MM marketplace).

- Responsible for developing and overseeing technology portfolio in support of $110MM Downstream Petrochemicals business;- Through technology, maintained revenue and high margins through most difficult downturn in petrochemicals industry in recent history;- Developed global approach to the business, with revenue being equitably split across three regions (Americas, Europe/Middle East, and Asia Pacific);- Responsible for direct supervision of 9 Ph.D.’s with average industrial experience of 10 years;- From June 2009 through August 2010, in addition to Downstream Petrochemicals Research Group, was also responsible for direct supervision of the Analytical Technologies Department (11 direct reports, 5 Ph.D.’s) that supported Adomite, Upstream and Downstream businesses with a combined revenue of $1.5B;- Expert in fields of fouling, corrosion, emulsions and foaming control;- Managed research projects subjected to stage and gate reviews that led to innovative and IP protected new products in Styrene ($75MM marketplace) and Ethylene ($200 MM marketplace);- Managed Technical Support Request (TSR) process for Downstream Petrochemicals business, approving and prioritizing approximately 250 TSR’s annually; - Developed material for and led regional technical training sessions in Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Europe and North America.
