Hello my name is Christopher Thomas Moses. I received my Bachelors of Art in Military History from Southern New Hampshire University in May 2019. After pursuing my bachelors degree, I am currently working on my Masters of Science in Library Science with a concentration in Archiving Studies from the University of North Texas, I graduated in Fall 2021 and I also received my Graduate Academic Certificate in Archival Management in Summer 2021.I interned at the University of North Texas Special Collections at the Willis Library remotely. My internship consisted of metadata tagging records of photos and other materials in the Portal of Texas History. I used UNT’s controlled vocabulary, Library of Congress Subject Headings and Name Authorities, as well as keywords to tag subjects to each photo. I also tagged other important information such as Title, dates, time period, and coverage information to each record. I worked for Harris County Public Library at the Clear Lake-Freeman Branch as an Adult Program Specialist. As an Adult Program Specialist I help patrons with reference questions, book requests, and help with computer programs (i.e. Microsoft office programs). I have worked for the county about 3 years now and continue to improve my reference skills through graduation from my graduates degree.
